Beat / What were your impressions from the Pacific Northwest?

Gidge / We stayed in Seattle, so we rented a car and drove around the Olympic Peninsula for a couple of days. We didn’t do any actual music production at all while there, we just tried to soak up as much of the atmosphere as possible. We focused on getting a lot of visual inspiration, photos, video, stuff like that. Then we brought all of that back with us into the studio once we were home.

Beat / How did the peninsula compare to your Swedish home?

The beautiful thing about the Pacific Northwest in the US is that the nature is very similar to that of northern Sweden. Everything is just much bigger. So it’s a bit like going to an extreme version of our home. It’s fascinating being surrounded
