‘Nerves don’t help you win’ Bradly Sinden
Going for gold at the postponed Tokyo Olympics later this year, taekwondo star Bradly Sinden has already made history as GB’s first able-bodied male to win gold in the sport at the World Championships in 2019.
“It was the first sport I picked up and I’ve just stuck with it. My two goals in life were to win the World Championships and win the Olympics. In 2016 if you’d said I’d win the Worlds in 2019 I would have said: No way.’ I didn’t expect to tick off one of those goals so quickly.”
Quietly confident, the 22-year-old is also cool as a cucumber, saying: “Nerves don’t help you win, so what’s the point in having them?”
