Q Since my 35-year-old daughter had her second child she has suffered with very heavy periods. She also becomes very emotional and everything is an effort. She has been offered various contraceptive pills, but is reluctant to take them as they give her thrush and facial spots. She isn’t depressed, and has a lovely home and two gorgeous children aged four and five.
