recycle your tyres

Did you know that in Australia each year, about 56 million tyres reach their end of life? That roughly equates to just over two tyres for every Australian. While it’s fair to say there is a 69% recovery rate, only 16% are currently recycled in Australia, leaving a substantial number as waste, which can cause harm to the environment. Here are four ways you can play a key role in reducing this waste.

1 LOOK AFTER YOUR TYRES

Why? Because this helps avoid unnecessary early replacement. Swap your back tyres with your front tyres to allow for balanced wear, get the wheels aligned if your steering wheel wobbles, regularly check the tread and make sure to keep your tyres inflated.

2 BUY TYRE BRANDS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO SUSTAINABLE OUTCOMES
