Hearing those four words, I tried to force a smile.
‘We’re having a baby!’ my sister- in-law announced.
My brother’s wife was pregnant.
And that was great.
But having a baby was all I’d ever wanted, and the envy ate me up.
It was April 2016 and me and my husband Michael, then 28, had just suffered a miscarriage at three weeks.
‘It’ll happen for us again,’ Michael said soothingly.
