But when it comes to the kitchen itself, you can save hundreds, even thousands of pounds by shopping smart. End-of-line or closing down sales could nab you a new design at slashed prices. Sticking with the same layout will avoid costs around moving your plumbing, electrics or gas supply, so if you’re happy with what you’ve got – particularly the position of your sink, dishwasher and cooker – then don’t change
