1 START WITH SOLIDS

Colourblocking isn't just for plain fabrics – any material can be used, even those with busy prints or woven designs. However, it's often wise to stick to solid fabrics for your first colourblock make. Matching seams and joining up pattern pieces can be tricky enough, without the added hassle of matching prints, too.
