Time To Move On! As Imbert May Sells His Amazing Tractor Collection

One would have thought it was not the right time to sell your tractor collection and make strong prices, but Imbert May took that decision and came up trumps, which tells us that he is a good businessman, says Peter Love.

It was not until September 2020 that Imbert May, known to his friends as Bert, finally decided to call in H. J. Pugh to sell his amazing collection of some 240 tractors, based at Osborne Farm, Pocombe Bridge, just off the A30 near Exeter, Devon, just days after the amazing Brent Thomas sale.

The only feasible date was the last week in October, as the calendar was full with other sales, so the team decided on the dates of Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October. Now Bert had to get all the tractors out of the shed, cleaned up and photographed. What an effort, but it all came together,
