NATURE RESERVE

At delightful Marbury Country Park, bordering Budworth Mere, bitterns (right) overwinter along with many other species. Walks thread to the nearby Trent and Mersey Canal and the remarkable Anderton Boat Lift, with further flashes (lakes) and hides adjoining.
