We are still separated on the pitch

IT ALMOST feels like we have been mugged. Along the way the media have drowned us with valuable yet uncomfortable racial conversations and real life stories that have plagued the game for so many generations.

In my life, I felt the end of the apartheid pinch while we navigated through the social injustice created by what was then lawful racism. Along the way, we passed a few old signs that read “Net Blankes” (Whites/Europeans Only).
