Celebrate black female leaders

I WILL always be thankful that I was alive when three formidable women – Puleng LenkaBula, Tsakani Maluleke and Kamala Harris – were appointed to the positions of vice-chancellor (Unisa), auditor-general (South Africa) and vice-president-elect (USA), respectively.

Because of these three women of colour and valour, black women and black men everywhere are walking straighter, taller and firmer.
