Before everyone got sent home to play in their sheds, the much-anticipated Australian Hard Enduro Series got underway with a bang. The aptly named Tenterfield Terror attracted 286 riders, including some of this country’s best hard enduro riders – names like Coleman, Perry, Nowak, Ibrahim, Solar, Dwyer and Atkins.
The trip into the venue at Rocky River, an hour east of Tenterfield, was a breathtaking drive through the hills, snaking over winding dirt roads with views across numerous picture-perfect valleys and lush farm paddocks.
Thanks to recent rainfall, even the land affected by the summer bushfires was recovering amazingly well.
