CHAD REED FLEW to Europe in 2001 where he rode for Jan DeGroot’s factory Kawasaki team and finished runner up in the World 250cc Motocross Championship on debut to multi-time champion Mickaël Pichon. Reed claimed victory at his team’s home round, the GP of Lierop in The Netherlands, and won a moto at the 2001 Motocross des Nations in Belgium before taking out Jeremy McGrath at the Paris Supercross in November to introduce himself to American fans.
