REMEMBER THE HALCYON days of SuperSport 600 racing? It coincided with the decline of two-strokes as production-based, smaller-capacity racers. So I’m talking about the late 1980s and early 1990s… mullet hairdos, stubbies shorts and gym boots, and those unforgettable purple and pink paint schemes.
Every Japanese factory had an in-line, four-cylinder, four-stroke screamer that could rev like a racer but still be ridden to work.
