Rebel with a cause

If you’re into cruisers and you’re working your way up through the licence categories, you’ve got surprisingly little choice - but there’s one bike that stands out more than most; Honda’s Rebel. It’s been around a long time. Way back in 1985 the original 250cc version first hit the streets, before being briefly joined by a 450cc version in 1986-87. Its combination of a low seat height and easy-to-ride handling made it the perfect first ‘big bike’ for riders who didn’t quite have the cash to spend on a more expensive Harley-Davidson.
