Keith Williams built his first hot rod, a ’glass ’32 coupe in 1989. Sons, Dan and Nic, were five and two at the time, respectively, but that was enough to sow a seed that has grown and flourished into a veritable American car empire, comprising Williams Brothers Speed Shop, OCS Paint and WBR Race Engines, all neatly nestling under the umbrella of OCS Group.
If you’ve visited a drag strip in the last few years you’ll maybe know the boys better simply as Williams Brothers Racing, due in no small part to the quick, consistent, immaculately turned out ’69 Nova, ’69 Camaro, ’62 Impala and ’69 Chevelle race cars that bear that name in gold leaf lettering on the flanks. You know, the ones that pull sky-high wheelies off the start line and, consequently, attract photographers like a bar attracts hot rodders.
