Quarry Cruiser

Let’s face it, you don’t expect to find a 34 year old, 32-ton artic still on the road and working for a living, but last year, I found just that. As always, I’m happy to be corrected – politely, of course – but I am fairly certain Jeff Sproston’s Leyland Cruiser tractor is the last of its kind still earning a crust.

Ok, so it’s not out every single day; it is owned by Jeff to support his business, but the truck is definitely working and if you are ever in the Frodsham area, you stand a good chance of seeing it mixing with the bigger boys onto the M56.
