    Iran Vows Retaliation In 'Proper Time' For Nuclear Scientist's Killing

    Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blamed Israel for the ambush that left Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and others dead Friday. Without offering specifics, he threatened a reprisal.

    Iranian protesters burn images of President Trump and President-elect Joe Biden during a rally Saturday in Tehran. Iranian leaders have blamed Israel and its close ally, the U.S., for the assassination of a top Iranian nuclear scientist.

    One day after the assassination of a prominent Iranian nuclear scientist, the country's leaders have made clear they intend to retaliate for a slaying they blame on Israel.

    In separate statements delivered Saturday, both Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani threatened an aggressive response to the killing of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh near Tehran.
