Turmoil in SA blueberry industry

The row between United Exports and Rossouw Boerdery was exacerbated when a 26t blueberry shipment produced and exported by Rossouw Boerdery under its sub-divisions Rosle and Ross Berries, was confiscated in the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands by the European Union Customs Authority.

United Exports reportedly claimed that the blueberries had been unlawfully exported, since only it had the right to sell this licenced cultivar.
