Last week I was asked about towing tenders. As is so often the case, my interlocutor was looking for a catch-all answer to a problem that really has no satisfactory solution. Now that I sail a ‘modern classic’, I can no longer ship a decent stem dinghy or a nice Nordic pram, so I have signed on with the hordes condemned to limp ashore with the wet bottom that awaits all travellers in inflatables.
