Quirkily it’s a dynamo not an alternator and will require the correct threaded puller down its centre to facilitate removal. Use any other type puller and risk terminal damage.

GUARDS

Hard to find good used ones and expensive to repair rotted examples.

EXHAUSTS

Need to be present and in good condition. Street scrambler C variants also need to have the hard-to-find heat guards.

SHOCK ABSORBERS

Typically oversprung and underdamped, something like period-looking Hagons will improve the handling.

ELECTRICS

The loom is at least 50 years old so some TLC
