Shanks and Presser Feet: HIGH OR LOW, SNAP OR SCREW?

No matter what your sewing, piecing or quilting task is, the best results will be achieved if you have the correct presser foot for the job. The correct presser foot must match the shank of the machine. Whether you want a ruler foot, a ¼in foot or an open-toe foot, first you must know whether your machine takes a high, low, slant or super-high shank. The shanks will be able to variously use snap-on, screw-on or clip-on presser feet.
