IT IS 5AM when I first open my tent, the sound of the zipper piercing the eerie silence around us. As I gaze out it becomes clear our tents are engulfed in a dense layer of cloud, smothering the surrounding summits that had been clear the day before.
I grab my camera, wake my friends, and head for the highest point above the plateau that has served as our home for the night. As the sun rises, the cloud begins to melt away, revealing the majestic summit that is Mynydd Drws-y-coed and the other peaks surrounding us, with fog lapping against them.
