“They can expect, as usual, the unexpected! For this one I just thought we’ve done so many wild and crazy thing – we’ve travelled in time, battled vegetables, we’ve been to the bottom of the sea, we’ve climbed the never-ending staircase - so I thought, ‘What haven’t we done?’ We haven’t been into space, we haven’t had an intergalactic adventure. I thought it would be really funny just seeing the tree being blasted through outer space having been abducted by a giant flying eyeball and the eyeball takes me, Terry and Jill to the Planet Eyeballia to make us fight in an intergalactic death battle against twelve other deadly aliens. That was the beginning, that was my idea and I thought that I’d like to read that one and now I’ve lived it!”
