The plan was so simple. When Scott Stacey bought this Mk2 sight-unseen in 2010, he intended to press it into daily duties as a ratty runabout. But fate seldom has any truck with that sort of logic. “How wrong I was,” he laughs. “There was all sorts of rot, so the best thing seemed to be to strip it down and see how bad it was.
