There’s something wonderful and desperate about the Steam reviews for . Endless lists of people who’ve spent thousands of hours chained to a game they love nonetheless. And even after a few minutes, it’s an easy compulsion to understand. It’s one of those games where every stumbling step forward feels like a triumph, where you’re spoonfed enough success to feel capable before you’re splattered by a projectile you should have seen coming. The way looks, and, more importantly, sounds, informs every bad decision you make, and before long everything is working in chaotic unison to deliver one of the most enjoyable roguelikes around.
