he white, modernist signature of Art Deco architecture can be seen all around our coast, from the Midland Hotel in Morecambe and Blackpool Pleasure Beach, to Bexhill-on-Sea’s De La Warr Pavilion and the deco domesticity of Frinton-on-Sea. Art Deco style was a visual vernacular applied to homes, hotels, cinemas, furniture, graphics and fashion to lure the holidaying everyman and woman in the most optimistic and joyful way.
