The comfort zone

From timesaving and privacy to convenience and ease, the benefits of private aviation are many and varied – and they tend to be widely acknowledged. But in recent years, one particular aspect of private flight has become increasingly important to manufacturers and their customers: comfort. It’s been the focus of much innovation of late, even as other technological advances have continued apace.

Thanks to research and development both in-house at the big manufacturers and at partner suppliers and completion facilities, the range of what can be offered to private-jet customers is constantly growing. New systems are improving fundamental aspects of private flight, such as cabin humidity and altitude, leaving passengers feeling brighter and fresher upon landing. But, over many hours in the air, even the smaller advances take on an importance – details such as sound insulation, noise-cancellation, odor control, air flow and intuitive systems that anticipate what passengers need and deliver it at the right moments.
