Technics SL-1500C

As we’ve seen in our reviews this year, Panasonic’s revival of the Technics brand is now moving beyond turntables to include headphones and streaming Wi-Fi speakers. But there is little doubt that the decision to reboot the brand came from the widespread revival of vinyl, and in particular the success of a number of turntables from other brands which were using expired or licensed patents to deliver something often closely comparable to the SL-1200 DJ deck, for which Panasonic/Technics had suspended production in 2010. In 2016, they started up again, along with variants and more hi-fi versions, and with the latest releases there are now signs that the brand is truly hitting its stride again.
