BLACK FARMERS BEING KICKED OFF THEIR LAND FOR REFUSING TO PAY BRIBES

A group of black farmers in Mpumalanga who are role models for successful land reform are being kicked off their state-owned farms by government because they have refused to pay bribes to corrupt state officials.

One of the farmers told City Press’ sister publication, Rapport, that he was tempted to leave South Africa and farm elsewhere.

The farmers have been trying for years to fight corrupt officials in Ermelo, where the regional office of the department of agriculture, land reform and rural development
