When he got pulled back in, - not content with one stage win - had a go inside 4km to go. With few teams left with bodies to chase, it was down to the leaders themselves, like Sagan, to cover moves, and when Hirschi was reeled in pounced with 3km to go. Everyone else could only look at each other, as the Dane soloed to his debut Tour win and his team’s second in three days.
