Bachmann HKA bogie hopper wagon

FORMER National Power (NP) JMA wagons fitted with LT25 bogies made up a significant part of new D&E model announcements by Bachmann in 2019, with both ‘OO’ and ‘N’ gauge models being announced. The models represent the NP bogie coal hopper wagons following acquisition by EWS in 1998 alongside the rest of the NP rail operations which included six Class 59/2 locomotives.

NP’s entry in to rail operations was a move which heralded the end of the MGR wagon’s dominance of power station coal traffic in favour of high capacity hopper wagons.
