Mendip aggregate hopper in ‘OO’

MODELLERS have endured a long wait for a high-fidelity model of a bulk aggregate hopper wagon dedicated to Mendip stone traffic in any scale. The 100-strong fleet of O&K bogie aggregate hopper wagons used by Foster Yeoman (see pM23) is perhaps the first and an ideal partner for the Foster Yeoman and ARC JUA and JTA tipper wagons released last year by Accurascale. At last, a reasonable representation of the large and heavy trains that haul massive stone from the Mendip hills via Westbury through to Acton and other terminals can be modelled, assuming one has a layout large enough.
