UNWARRANTED ATTACK ON ZONDO
It was not wholly unexpected when we woke up one day recently confronted with an attempt to cast aspersions on the integrity of Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo and his suitability to preside over the state capture inquiry. It was probably a long time coming.
The allegation is that Justice Zondo has become disqualified to continue presiding as chairperson and must recuse himself. Former president Jacob Zuma is not the first to make this suggestion. By the way, he is the one who appointed Zondo and would have been aware of what he is raising now, which he claims disqualifies the justice to preside.
