The Gauteng government is broadening its investigations into Covid-19 funding irregularities and is now probing contracts awarded by the department of infrastructure development.
The provincial government uncovered huge irregularities in contracts for the provision of personal protective equipment, resulting in Health MEC Bandile Masuku being placed on special leave while senior officials face prosecution.
