I have been touring in Scotland for almost a decade. Now, with so many foreign destinations inaccessible, Scotland has suddenly become the bikers’ playground of choice. So, here are some top tips for a great tour in Scotland:

Don’t do the North Coast 500! The NC500 is a great marketing ploy to sell Scotland to the masses, and it has worked. However, it is targeted to the masses, not just bikes. Cars, caravans, cyclists and motorhomes all make up the target market.
