Which is your favourite apple grown in the garden?

We grow ‘Charles Ross’ as a step-over here (grown on dwarf rootstock MM106). It has large fruit which are slightly aromatic, sweet, juicy and firm. The apples are great for both cooking and eating.

How do you keep apple trees healthy?

We prune the trees to help the sunlight ripen the fruit and mulch with our home-made compost in the autumn. We prefer to grow our apples organically to keep them healthy.
