Australia has some of the most coveted wines in the world, produced by top wineries, which makes tracking down the country’s best cellar doors somewhat of a breeze. But still, there’s research to be done! delicious . drinks writer Mike Bennie did just that and has come up with the best of the bunch.

The updated cellar door at Brokenwood is simply astonishing. Brought to life by distinct and clever architecture, the largest wine complex in the Hunter Valley features casual and formal dining, unique ‘tasting pods’, private tasting spaces, a huge outdoor terrace and views into the working winery. There’s also a roving museum detailing the history of wine in the Valley and at Brokenwood. The food offering is a boon to the region, with casual eating available at Cru Bar + Pantry, and more formal dining at The Wood Restaurant.
