Ash Sutton didn’t finish on the podium at Thruxton’s British Touring Car Championship meeting, but two fourths and a fifth were enough for the Laser Tools Racing Infiniti Q50 man to earn a 16-point cushion at the head of the table with 12 races remaining.
While the big plaudits were earned by the double-winning Speedworks Toyota Corolla of Tom Ingram, under stern examination each time from Dan Cammish’s Team Dynamics Honda Civic, Sutton’s stealthy performances swung the balance in his favour.
