Breonna Taylor Charging Decision To Be Announced This Afternoon

Breonna Taylor's name has become a rallying cry at nationwide protests against racial injustice and police violence. Demonstrators have long called for the officers to face criminal charges.

A lawyer for Breonna Taylor's family said a decision on whether to charge the three Louisville police officers involved in her shooting death will be announced later today.

"Jefferson County grand jury will present its report on the Breonna Taylor case and whether to indict LMPD officers at 1:15 pm TODAY," Ben Crump tweeted.

The pending announcement follows months of outrage, activism and anticipation sparked by Taylor's death in March. Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron is also expected to make remarks
