Smiles for MILES

When my daughter was born, she was diagnosed with brain damage and cerebral palsy.

I remember falling asleep and hoping that she would, if nothing else, be able to smile.

Just to let me know when she was happy.

That was all I could hope for.

Now, at three years old, Inka proves her life-changing prognosis wrong every day.

She is a funny and strongwilled little girl who fills our lives with smiles and laughter.

But that doesn’t mean it has been – or will continue to be – plain sailing…
