My mom said it must have hung around with other bad cars that also smoked. I decided to overhaul the engine, so I went to our local trade school in Springfield, Massachusetts. There, an auto mechanic teacher walked me through it. In order to get the pan down, I had to remove the tie rods, as they went under the pan.
