Big bountiful boards

Grazing boards create a flow that permits guests to mingle, move around and sample what’s on offer while still being social – something that rarely happens with static meals at a more formal dinner party. These boards offer maximum impact with relatively minimal effort. They’re a good conversation-starter and bring a casualness and fun to a meal or event, and are perfect for people who have specific dietary needs. There’s the added benefit that each person is essentially choosing their own personalised menu from what’s on offer on the board.

COVID-19 ETIQUETTE FOR A SMALL HOME GATHERING

It's all about taking a sensible, approach to hygiene and keeping up to date with government health authority recommendations.

It’s not the greenest option, but it may be safer to use wrapped disposable cutlery, cups and individual plates.

Have plenty of serving tongs for each element of the board; encourage guests to use them rather than their fingers. Hosts could consider wearing disposable gloves when serving guests.
