RIDING THE GRAVY BUS

One service provider was allegedly paid in cash, debit orders and advance payments at the same time in one of several multimillion-rand irregular contracts signed by state-owned bus company Great North Transport (GNT) in Limpopo.

This was revealed in a damning March 2018 report written to Limpopo Premier Stan Mathabatha by Mampe Gololo, the former chief financial officer of the financially embattled GNT.

In the report, Gololo dissects, among other things, a repair and maintenance contract with Swedish bus manufacturer Scania, which she said
