Start at the bottom right-hand corner. Read right side rows from right to left and wrong side rows from left to right. A row of squares represents a row of knitting.
TOP TIP
When adding the eyes and mouth details to the play mittens make sure you add them to the palm, so they can be easily played with when Halloween comes around.

Row 1 (RS) *K2, P2; rep from * to end.
Last row forms rib.
Continue in rib until piece measures 3 (3: 4.5: 4.5: 4.5)cm from cast-on edge, ending after RS row.
