Beat / That is good to hear. The new album „Fall To Pieces “sounds very gloomy over most of it, but also surprised me with two unusually positive pieces. Is it a musical diary of your last years, reflecting the highs and lows?
Tricky/ No. To be honest, the two pop songs „Fall Please “and „I‘m In The Doorway “are already about ten years old. They were written during the time of the album „False Idols“, when I was still living in Paris. I didn‘t want to release them all these years because they were too pop for me. But now they seemed just right.
Beat / Is „Fall To Pieces “a particularly personal album for you?
I think all my albums are autobiographical. My music has always served a niche. It is neither breakbeat, hip-hop, punk nor electronic. My tracks have their very own sound and are all diary entries of my life. I can, of course, make a track that feels like a hip-hop or rock song to me, but it never sounds like a typical
