In 2011, Paul Handley and his wife Roma decided to ‘have a go’ in the arena of classic rallying when they bought a Jaguar E-type and started long-distance European touring, followed by the Liège-Brescia-Liège competitive rally.

“We discovered a whole new world of doing something extra with classics,” says Paul. “There’s a competitive element to classic rallying, however there is great camaraderie with like-minded people who love the old cars. The opportunity on the tests to spin the cars round cones etc in a risk-free situation, is great fun.”

Paul explains that he doesn’t like stage rallying but:
