Gauging Cash Flow

DATA FROM THOUSANDS of United States Geological Survey (USGS) stream gauges makes it easy to check conditions on almost any river in the country. You’ll find flows measured in water-level, cubic feet per second (cfs), or both, and some gauges even give water temperature. Know your river well enough, and you can predict a great fishing day or an awful one before you even leave the house.
