    THE DECLARATION OF ARBROATH

    Its evocative sentiments of medieval sovereign independence have given the Declaration of Arbroath a special distinction, not only in Scotland but around the world.

    This spring, National Records of Scotland (NRS) – the body responsible for caring for the surviving copy of the Declaration – will celebrate this anniversary in partnership with National Museums Scotland.
