One of our own regular designers here at CrossStitcher, Emma Congdon has carved herself a niche in creating bold, punchy, modern cross stitch designs that often use retro typography to great effect. So, it comes as no surprise that Emma was recently asked to create her very own book, Cross Stitch For The Soul.

Emma was approached by her publisher to see if she’d be interested in putting a book together. “There wasn’t a fixed idea at that stage so I had to propose a few ideas to see which would be the most suitable and popular,” she recalls. “I had already designed a lot of patterns by this point
